Message and the 997S I had didn't give you the feeling you described. If anything, it was comfortable both putting around and at track speed:

but not wild with that throttle control you get with a well set-up turbo Z. However, more of a comment on the chassis & comfort than the power.

I got a track lap in a 2008 GT2 with a race driver... that was scary quick and had lots of drive out of the corners, but didn't get to drive it. I was actually looking for a turbo Porsche for track, as our aging Z's just don't measure up to modern car chassis despite the mods.
